John Westerdahl, PhD, MPH, RDN, has been elected as the 2022-2023 President of the Adventist Nutrition and Dietetics International Association (ANDIA). Dr. Westerdahl, a lifestyle medicine and nutrition expert, is the host of the weekly LifeTalk Radio program, HEALTH & LONGEVITY. LifeTalk Radio congratulates Dr. Westerdahl on this new appointment.

Dr. Westerdahl has over 40 years of experience in the nutrition and dietetics profession with a highly diverse background. He has two decades of experience in the business world serving as a nutritionist and health scientist for various vegetarian and plant-based food and nutritional products companies in research and development, and has served as nutrition editor for one of the nation’s leading vegetarian magazines. With an expertise in nutritional science, he formerly served as assistant nutritionist to two-time Nobel Prize winning scientist Dr. Linus Pauling. Dr. Westerdahl previously served as Chair for the Vegetarian Nutrition Dietetics Practice Group of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, and currently is in private practice as a nutrition and lifestyle medicine consultant.
